When Rahul Bajaj came to Chicago from New Delhi, India to attend graduate school, he met Michele—a sweet and lovely midwestern girl. Over many late evening curries, which Rahul lovingly cooked for Michele using traditional recipes from his family's kitchen in India, love blossomed. It turns out, not only is the shortest route to a man's heart through his stomach, the same holds true when the genders are reversed and the cuisine in question is lip-smackingly good curry! Michele, who was bowled over by Rahul's healthy Indian cooking, said yes, and the two were married.
To spread the curry-love in the Chicago community, Rahul and Michele decided to open Columbus' Curry—a restaurant in Wicker Park serving gourmet Indian curries prepared using ancient recipes and cooking techniques from Rahul's family's kitchen in India. Using only the choicest ingredients and spices to prepare a repast that is full of flavor, goodness and zest, we at Columbus' Curry invite you to savor our unforgettable curries. Come, discover curry love!
